Community Centre and Cafe

We are a welcoming family church of all ages! Our Sunday mornings consist of lively worship, relevant teaching and fellowship – we even eat breakfast together once a month! A programme for children and young people is offered with other weekly activities available. Small groups meet during the week, a place to deepen relationships with one another, provide practical support and explore faith together.

A warm welcome awaits everyone at The Crossing during the week. Our Welcome Cafe is open Tuesday 10am-12pm, Wednesday 10am-12pm, and Thursday 1pm-3:30pm. A friendly environment for all - currently a number of groups enjoy the space during the week such as craft/over 60's/walking football/disability groups and families who attend our Create & Play sessions.

We also have sports facilities and a large playing field available to groups or individuals to hire then you could relax in the cafe afterwards!

CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILIES

Working with children and young people is a really important part of what we do at Rising Brook. We want to create a safe and caring environment where children and young people feel able to be themselves, make friends and have a great time. Our amazing team work hard to put on a range of different programmes for young people of all ages.

TOTS

Tots at The Crossing

Children aged 1 to 4 can join us in Tots at The Crossing on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month during our 10:30am service. Our programme consists of free play, stories, songs, craft and a snack. We are passionate about creating a safe environment where our children can have fun, make new friends and build foundations of faith. On the other Sundays there is a family space to access or an all-age service.

Create & Play

Create & Play is a friendly group for all 0-5s and their parents or carers. You will find lots of free play space with lots of different toys and activities. There is a weekly craft and a baby area for those little ones to enjoy. We offer refreshments for the grown ups throughout the sessions and will gather everyone together for a song time for the children towards the end of the session. Entry costs £2 per family.

KIDS

Kids at The Crossing

For children in primary school, Kids at The Crossing is a fun-filled programme that runs the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month during our morning service. Our kids programme provides a safe environment where children can learn about God in a way that is relevant to their age group. It is a great place to make friends and is lots of fun. On other Sunday mornings there is a family space to access, or a family service suitable for all ages.

YOUTH

Youth at The Crossing

For young people in Year 7 - Year 9, Youth at The Crossing runs during our Sunday service. It’s a relaxing time to have some fun and hang out as we explore faith together through teaching, discussion, games and food.

Youth Central

Youth Central is a Friday night gathering for all youth in Year 7 - Year 13. It is held at Rising Brook Community Centre in Stafford.

The first part of the evening consists of led activities and workshops, social time with games and chat and a chance to catch up with everyone after a week at school. We then open our café and eat together. We believe there is real value in spending time connecting with each other over food and building community and so this has become a really important part of what we do.

It all ends with an hour of teaching and worship. We are passionate about helping our young people connect with God, through age appropriate themes in a real and authentic way.
