Action is the expression of our faith in seeing the rule and reign of God impact people’s lives through justice, healing and compassion.

Anyone can join in and be involved in serving in our Centre each day, providing food, household items and DIY for Restore, in volunteering with one of our local associated ministries in the town and in taking part in work with partners in other parts of the world.

Local Mission

We have connections to many local community groups, and we get involved in supporting our community in many ways.

Fountains Counselling

Fountains Counselling Service (formerly CCS) offers a confidential service to people seeking to work through difficulties by providing a caring relationship within agreed boundaries. The service is open to anyone, regardless of race, class, religion or gender, faith or no faith and is a voluntary organisation staffed by qualified counsellors who are members of local Christian churches.

The Youth Net

The Youth Net is an interchurch organisation working in local high schools and with young people from across the churches in Stafford borough. The Youth Net emerged from Rising Brook and is now supported by churches of all denominations. ARC works in lessons and assemblies, and with lunch-time clubs; Focus Into The Mix is an interchurch youth event; Synergy is a year out project.

The Signpost Centre

The Signpost Centre – a Rising Brook initiative – was set up in partnership with local government, health services and the police, to provide a wide range of services for the community on Highfields including support, advocacy, hospitality and companionship, including a community cafe with public access computers. You are sure of a warm friendly welcome at The Signpost Centre.

Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA)

The Staffordshire and Shropshire branch of the Christian Motorcyclists Association meet at Rising Brook Centre on the 1st Monday of every month.

The CMA is an outreach organisation, not a bike club. With an offer of a free Biker Bible, our mission is to take the good news of Christ to the motorcycling communities and their families. We attend bike shows and biker meetings, or provide a helmet park at motorcycle events.  Riding with a white cross on our backs, we aim to be a visible presence where bikers meet. We also visit churches, sometimes leading or taking part in services. For more information visit the website or email

Street Pastors

Stafford Street Pastors are a group of volunteer Christians, who go out each Friday and Saturday night between 10:30pm and 4:00am around the nightlife areas in Stafford. Perhaps you have met them?

“We look out for everybody in Stafford and offer bottles of water, flip flops, a listening ear and a hug if required.” – Anne Glover, Team Leader

Our involvement in India stems from a concern for the Dalits (untouchables) – the 300 million who fall below the established social system and are regarded as less than human. We support the work of Good Shepherd Community Churches, particularly those in Maharashtra, and in a variety of empowering social and educational projects. We also support the work of Pratigya and its associated anti-trafficking centre in Hyderabad for those in, or at risk of, ritual slavery.
