All information on this page is subject to change, we will update regularly, so make sure you check back or follow us on all relevant Facebook pages (details below).

Our latest statement:

In the light of the latest Government advice on social distancing and non-essential contact and our desire to protect our church members and communities as well as look after the most vulnerable, we have decided to take further steps to change how we operate as a church.
We decided from March 17th, for the foreseeable future, to close our building for events, activities and gatherings including Sunday services. We are also suspending all courses and small group gatherings and exploring creative ways of connecting together instead. At the same time, we want to make sure that we can continue to serve the most vulnerable in our local communities, even if our centres are closed to groups of people.
Our buildings will not be open for the café, regular events, or even one off bookings We will be here, however, and would like to provide help and pastoral support for those who need it in our community. Please see more information below, which we will update as we can.
These are days of great uncertainty and confusion. We are praying for our community and for our nation and are joining in with other groups to play our part in alleviating distress and living out our faith in God.

Click here to watch a video message from Martin Young (and access all our videos).

As all our buildings are now closed, we looking at the best ways to support each other and the local community during this time. We encourage everyone to stay connected in their church locations for inspiration, mission and fellowship life. Primarily this will happen as we stay engaged in our small groups, and we are exploring how we can care for one another, and even join together in prayer and bible study, through phone calls, texts, Whatsapp groups and other ways of being together online.

Online Church

Starting on Sunday 22 March, we shall be streaming our (unattended) church service from Rising Brook Community Church. This will be available for everyone to access where possible on your computer, tablet, smart phone or smart TV by visiting risingbrook.org/onlinechurch. Please bear with us as we set up associated methods of communication to go along side this. If you have prayer requests, instead of using our normal prayer card, please email prayer@risingbrook.org. If you have any problems accessing this link, please email us

Children, Youth & Families

All our midweek & Sunday groups are postponed for the foreseeable future at all locations (including Create & Play at all locations and venues, King’s Klub, Hub, Youth Central & Tots, Kids & Youth programmes). We’re looking forward to providing content & activities for families to take part in together at home in the weeks to follow. Watch this page, emails & their @risingbrookcyf facebook page for more information on this soon. If you have any questions, please contact ruth.stephenson@risingbrook.org.

Community

It is really important that we all play our part in living carefully and caring for those who are most at risk. This includes those who will end up most isolated and in need following the government advice to remain at home, as well as those who are dependent on the food and support that we give them each week. We are thinking through ways to care effectively for one another and especially though foodbank.  Please continue to support this essential ministry as there is such fear around groceries and food. Donations can be made at the Rising Brook Community Church (Stafford) entrance between 9:30-11:30am Monday to Friday. We will update regularly with particular needs.

If you would like to offer help in any other sort of way, please let us know here offersofhelp@risingbrook.org

Small Groups & Pastoral Care

As always, we encourage everyone to care for each other within small groups. We would particularly want to encourage everyone to be connecting and supporting one another with texts, phone calls, video calls, group message (via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger etc) and to use these methods to send prayer requests and encouragements. If you are not currently in a group, but you would like to be connected to one, please email us. Don’t forget we also have our email address for general prayer requests prayer@risingbrook.org.

Rising Brook Library

The Rising Brook Community Managed Library will be closed to the public until further notice. This is so that we can cope without key volunteers who are unable to serve at present. We will be suspending penalties during this time and also working out how we can develop and extend our lending delivery service so that we can still serve the community. Please look out for further information.
