Supporting our Local Communities

It is really important that we all play our part in living carefully and caring for those who are most at risk. This includes those who will end up most isolated and in need following the government advice to remain at home, as well as those who are dependent on the food and support that we provide each week. We are exploring ways to care effectively for one another and especially though foodbank. Please continue to support this essential ministry as the coronavirus situation continues. Food donations can be made at the entrance of Rising Brook Community Church in Stafford between 9:30-11:30am Monday to Friday and via a growing networks of local food bins.

For the latest information about this work, please visit our partner organisation, Signpost Services

If you would like to offer help in any other sort of way, please let us know here offersofhelp@risingbrook.org

Helping Those in Need

We are working with local councils and other organisations to help in all areas at this time – Go to risingbrook.org/help.

Food Bank open Monday – Friday between 9:30-11:30am at Rising Brook Community Church, Burton Square, Stafford.
Unfortunately we have had to close our food bank at The Signpost Centre in Highfields until further notice.

Storehouse & Crash (our furniture and DIY help projects) are unable to help or take referrals at this time.

Information & Guidance – phone 07783439349 between 10am – 12:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a telephone appointment. Information with useful contact numbers and help available at risingbrook.org/information.

We are working in Huntington at the request of South Staffs District Council. Read more about this at risingbrook.org/help.

Small Groups & Pastoral Care

As always, we encourage everyone in our church family to care for each other within small groups. We would particularly want to encourage everyone to be connecting and supporting one another with texts, phone calls, video calls, group message (via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger etc) and to use these methods to send prayer requests and encouragements. If you are not currently in a group, but you would like to be connected to one, please email us.

And don’t forget we also have an email address for general prayer requests: prayer@risingbrook.org.

Room Bookings

If you have a booking at one of our buildings, contact karen.wardell@risingbrook.org for information.

Rising Brook Library

The Rising Brook Community Managed Library will be closed to the public until further notice. This is so that we can cope without key volunteers who are unable to serve at present. We will be suspending penalties during this time and also working out how we can develop and extend our lending delivery service so that we can still serve the community. Please look out for further information.
