Ever wanted to find out about Christianity and have the opportunity to ask any question you like? The Alpha Course is ideal, taking place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere over 12 weekly sessions with a day away. Why not join the 2 million or more people in the UK who have been on Alpha – it could change your life.
What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. You can find out more at alpha.org.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
How does it work?
Alpha is 12 sessions. Our cafe is open from 5:30pm on Tuesdays but we start with a meal at 7:00pm. We follow that with a short video talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts. The session will end around 9:30pm. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
We also have a longer session exploring the Holy Spirit on Friday evening 26th & Saturday 27th October daytime.
The course is free of charge.
Can I help?
We’re always looking for volunteers to help at Alpha. There are several teams you can get involved in so if you’d like to help with Alpha, please drop us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
What if I missed the first week?
It doesn’t matter if you missed the first week of Alpha. Anyone is able to register up until session 4; after that we would encourage you to sign up for our next term and come along from session 1.
To pre-register online please complete our online form.
Alternatively you can just come along on the night!
