About Us
Rising Brook Community Projects is a registered charity based in the Rising Brook area of Stafford, UK.
We work in parnership with other organisations with two main emphases. The first is on the local area where we want to make a difference in the lives of people, especially young people. Our initial focus has been on enabling young people to gain skills in various areas of the performing arts and in providing collaborative experiences where they can gain confidence and increase in self-esteem.
The second emphasis is on international projects with a focus on trafficking. This includes supporting projects to provide work opportunities and vocational training to offer women viable alternatives to being trafficked. We support projects in eastern Europe and in Central Asia. We also support similar projects in India alongside an advocacy network in the UK on behalf of dalits (untouchables) who make up 80% of those in modern slavery.
